Jesus Made Believers By The Miracle

W. Arthur Moody

It was at the marriage feast in Cana of Galilee that Mary told Jesus that there was no more wine. She told the servants then, "Whatsoever He saith unto you, do it!" John 2:1-11.

But better than the wine Jesus made from water was the fact that His disciples believed on Him as a direct result of this beginning of miracles and the showing of His glory.

After He had told the servants to fill the six stone water pots with water, He said, "Draw out now, and bear unto the governor of the feast."

The ruler of the feast, unaware of the miracle, tasted the water that was made wine and called the bridegroom to say, "Thou hast kept the good wine until now."

The servants had helped the Lord perform the wonder by heeding Mary's warning, "Whatsoever He saith unto you, do it!" Whenever we obey the Lord Jesus, we can expect things even greater than the turning of water into wine. Especially, should we remember that among His last words on earth were those, saying, "He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved...." Mark 16:15-16.
